Description of the Defect: The electronic taillight module harness might not be fused to the proper current, and the harness connection to the electronic taillight module might not have a watertight seal, which could allow water intrusion.
Safety Risk: Water in the connection could cause a short circuit between the connector pins. Without adequate circuit protection, a short circuit between pins could create a risk of a thermal event or a fire, resulting in serious injury or death.
Consequence if not remedied: A short circuit between pins could create a risk of a thermal event or a fire, resulting in serious injury or death.
Corrective measures and Remedy: Inspect for an electronic taillight module. If installed, the owner will confirm that the inline circuit protection has been installed and that its rating is correct. If the circuit protection is not within the circuit's specifications, Altec will provide a kit to update the circuit.
Precautions that may be taken to minimize the risk until the corrective measures are complete: There are no additional precautions that may be taken.
Parts Availability: Parts available at the date of release.

Description of Defect The incorrect low tire pressure rating was printed on the Altec installed motor vehicle final stage manufacturer's certification label.
Safety Risk The incorrect low tire pressure rating was printed on the Altec installed motor vehicle final stage manufacturer's certification label.
Consequence if not Remedy The owner could underinflate the tires, which, at the underinflated pressure, might not meet the axle's weight rating. Running a tire with low pressure can increase the risk of a tire blowout and a crash.
Precautions that may be taken to minimize the risk until the corrective action are complete The operator should complete tire and wheel inspections as required during a pre-trip inspection, to identify excessive or premature tire wear. The operator may refer to the tire markings or the intermediate certification label for values that match those on the final certification label. If the values do not match, the operator should confirm the correct values before operating the vehicle.
